Dojo Percussion Teams with HWAA for Summer Camp.

Greetings All,

We hope that everyone has recovered from a busy winter/spring season, and are looking forward to a relaxing new beginning that summer brings.

It is with great pleasure that we at Heartland Winter Arts Association announce our 2010 Summer Camp for percussion and color guard students! This will be the third camp the association is putting on to assist students in enhancing their technical skills and artistic development.

We have assembled an amazing line up of clinicians who've marched at DCI corps such as Concord Blue Devils, Cavaliers, Colts, as well as some of the most respected and accomplished instructors in our area. We are  very pleased to be partnering with the 2010 Winter Guard International Percussion Independent A World Champions Dojo Percussion and Dana Murray.  This is the first year HWAA has ever offered a percussion camp, and we are  excited for this new undertaking.

Our main goal at HWAA is, and has always been, about helping, growing and improving the arts in our area.  We have spent a lot of time devising a clinic in which we believe we can give the students an amazing experience, without making the financial strain too great. Compared to clinics around the state we really feel very confident in what we have to offer.

Our clinic will be based on a three day format starting Monday morning July 12th thru evening July 14th. There are options for local comuter students, as well as student are from out of town. Along with many education and fun things we have planned, we also are getting the students an opportunity to have a clinic with a DCI corps which will be in town. The price of our camp also includes admission in the Drums Across Nebraska Show hosted at Millard South HS featuring DCI corps such as the Cavaliers, Blue Devils, and The Cadets.

We will offer a track for students participating in Front Ensemble, Battery, and Color Guard (including flag, sabre, and rifle).

Attached we have our application and information packet. All information can be found at www.hwaa.org.  After we receive applications and deposit payments, we will send a confirmation letter that will reflect the type of participation plan selected for the student, the registration schedule for the first day of camp, general camp information, and all required medical and privacy forms.

If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact us! We would love to see a majority of our winter units take part in this experience!!

 Sincerely,

HWAA Executive Board
